Design and development of a new brand identity for D4S
D4Science is an organisation that manages a data infrastructure and provides services for open research (Open science). It is hosted by the Institute of Information Science and Technology of the National Research Council CNR (Italia).
The new logotype uses geometric shapes to represent connectivity and data exchange, balancing technical precision with an accessible, contemporary design. The colour palette, consisting mainly of cool shades such as purple and green, was selected to communicate confidence and innovation, while the modern typography reinforces their professional and forward-thinking approach.
We also created a comprehensive set of brand guidelines detailing logo usage, typography and colour applications, ensuring visual consistency across all channels. This new visual approach reinforces D4Science’s visibility, consolidating their position as a leader in the scientific infrastructure sector.
