Welding machine industrial design for Flama.
A new idea of welding equipment made by the Asian brand Flama that entrust our product design agency to develop a new welding machine design for their company.
The client is an important international brand on the welding equipment that produces machinery for professional welding and exports its products all over the world. Our industrial design studio has been hired to define, in close collaboration with the company’s product management and marketing, a new industrial design strategy that can best represent the company’s values: solidity, practicality and vision for the future.
An industrial design project for the tool and work equipment sector that has engaged us in the design from scratch of a generator, a wire feeder and the cooling unit. The kit can also be assembled thanks to the metal cart. The structure of the welding machine is partly made of plastic, made by injection molding of glass-filled nylon, to which the body in painted metal is fixed. The machine management and control area is protected by a transparent polycarbonate cover.
The professional welder was designed considering the constraints and requirements provided by the customer. Particular attention was paid to the design of the handle and its connection to the metal machine body.
